  • 11:48 PM 1/13/2000 Left the following Message for the support
staff, We still have no stats for december
This site has not had any stats since the middle of December. During the week of Christmas, nothing was pressing so I let it slide. However I began requesting a resolution for this at 8:44 AM 12/31/1999. Again on 1/3/2000 at 11:46 AM, I requested that someone find the problem with my stats. Finally on the 10th of January, 2000 I was able to get stats for this site from 2/4/1999 through 1/7/2000, with the exception of December 1999. Today is the 14th of January, 2000, and I still don't have any stats for December. If someone would like to speak to me about this and the other problems this site has been encountering during the preceding 60 days, I can be reached Mon through Sat from 8 am to 6 pm at 910-327-3036. I would be more than happy to discuss my rapidly growing dis-satisfaction with the service, or lack thereof, as the case may be.
  • 11:48 AM 1/14/2000 Still No December Stats, No response from above message, disturbed about username & password sent repeatedly in plain text.
  • 11:56 AM 1/14/2000 Edward, 12:04 PM 1/14/2000, got username & password will call back in approx 5 minutes.
  • 12:17 PM 1/14/2000 Wrong path from control panel. Goto Jan, load frame in new window, change path to */1299.html.
  • Still missing 12/27 thru 12/31. Will call back in a few minutes.
  • 12:43 PM 1/14/2000 Think they have it resolved. Unknown problem. Edward quoted "Personally that answer is unacceptable, however, I can not personally do anything about it it is the administrators of the server."
Check back again tomorrow. Should have been resolved within 24 hours, we are currently going into 72 hours since the current report was initiated.
  • 10:24 AM 1/15/2000 Stats still missing, Mail Server out. Trever, changed server to "pop.valueweb.net" same error, return to "pop.sneadsferry.com" sporadic service.

Give Up on ValueWeb ever correcting any of the problems. They are the root of the vast majority of the errors to begin with. Locate New Server Farm, begin process of transferring sites. We never did get any of the problems resolved, stats were bogus, I have printed & saved copies of the stats page for sneadsferry.com for the month of March, one for the accumulated totals through March 20th and another one for the final for March 30th. On the 3/20 report is a specific page that had accumulated 100 views through the 20th, by the 30th after 10 more days of being viewed an average of 5 times per day, this same page had a grand total of 78 views for the month of March. There is No Possible way for a page to accumulate page views in reverse, if the totals are going backwards, someone is screwing with the stats, period.
